Activities of managing or operating trade or other businesses in Japan, or engaging in the management of such businesses.
Permission Criteria (Ministry of Justice Ordinance)
The applicant must meet all of the following conditions:
1. There must be an office in Japan for conducting the business.
2. The scale of the business must meet one of the following conditions:
a. The business must employ two or more full-time employees (excluding business managers).
b. The business must have a capital of at least 5 million yen.
3. In case of “management” (without founding the company), the following must be met:
a. The applicant must have at least 3 years of experience (including graduate-level education specializing in business or management).
b. The applicant must receive remuneration equivalent to that of a Japanese person in a similar role.
